Photographer's Note

Ever wondered where vegatable oil actually comes from?

Oil Palm Trees bear large fruits covered with seeds. The fruit is simply cut from the tree and allowed to drop to the ground some of the berries fall off these are collected on a mat. This is the hoisted into a lorry which takes them off to the processing plant. The oil is crushed from the seeds and is used for vegatable based fats through to swimming caps!
