It is always very funny these panels of road marking. Seen well.
C'est toujours bien amusant ces panneaux de signalisation. Bien vu.

Yes, nice sign indeed. I wonder if there's a market for a book of odd road signs - I've signs for kangaroos and wombats in Australia, and for camels in Morocco. Must be many more too.
As a small suggestion, I personally would have (a) tried to put the sign in the top corner, on the famous intersection of the lines of thirds, and (b) would have gone down on one knee to try to get a more dynamic view, looking up at the sign. These aren't criticisms of your pic, just suggestions you might bear in mind for future shots.

The kind of picture that always draws a smile. Just... as it is a crossing, some "road" in the composition would have been welcome, maybe.
Ce genre d'image donne toujours le sourire. Simplement... vu qu'il s'agit d'un panneau de croisement, un peu de route dans la composition aurait été bienvenu

Hi, great shot and very 'Kiwi' haha. I myself have taken the same shot on several occasions - it's difficult to drive past without getting the urge to take another as it's always so inviting. The entire Tongariro National Park is just one photo opportunity after another. My one (small) suggestion would be to maybe place the sign around the top left intersection of 'thirds' and Mt Ngaurahoe slightly lower so they're not both on the same centre-line (i.e. crouch down as Philip suggests). Great shot none the less and makes me feel home-sick
