Photographer's Note
Typical wooden houses sit on a hillside in Thorndon just a short distance from the Wellington central business district and the Parliament Buildings and Beehive (the Executive wing of New Zealand's Parliament Building).

Hi Marlene
The Kiwi capital is not often featured on TE, this corner looks like a village, nice wooden houses they have
Have a nice day JY

Hi Marlene
i really like the rise of the houses on the left, they seem to creep up ontop of eachother slowly moving upwards and to the right. and each one has a different rooftop colour.
Nicely seen
Cheers

Hi Marlene,
a nice snapshot of this neighbourhood in Wellington with the colourful wooden houses to be found at both sides of the road hill. The existence of the trees and the greenery make the scene more attractive.

Hi Marlene. New Zealand is wonderful. It shows a lot of impressive landscape, several climate zones, etc. Unfortunately, I was never interested in is this Region.Dein Photo. The perspective from above and the skillful composition makes it worth seeing. The architecture of the buildings is original. Regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Marlene,
I like the vertical format of the photo and the perspective very much!
Frankly speaking, I can hardly imagine people living so close to one another... but I know this happens :))
The photo doesn't look sharpened enough... why so?
with very best wishez from Moscow,
Elena

Hi Marlene,
The long and curving line of differently coloured roofs make this a very pleasant and attractive picture. Even the ugly cables add a little extra to the composition here.
Kind regards
Gunnar

Hello Marlene,
A nicely packed perspective where the hill possibly looks steeper than it actually is. The white and yellow lines are nice little details, as well as the red and green roofs. This place looks more tropical than I would have expected.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Marlene,
A good photo of Wellington's hilly streets capturing the style of the place - best walked downwards. Is it just a little out of focus on the left?
cheers

Hi Marlene,
Very beautiful residential quarter on the slope, thought not easy to ascend daily without cars or motor bikes, lovely colourful houses look like in the disney land, rarely to see this type of houses on TE, thanks for sharing.
