2ème photo de ce paysage qui semble irréel parce que c'est un lieu géothermique. L’eau est très chaude et l'air assez frais ce qui explique la vapeur.
Scannée d'un négative. Les couleurs sont naturelles et j'ai juste augmenté un peu les contrastes et la saturation.
2nd photo of this strange scenery which is actually due to geothermal activity. The water is very hot and the air cool which is why there’s so much steam.

Waimangu Volcanic Valley & Lake Rotomahana are located 20 minutes south of the Rotorua township, or 45 minutes north of Taupo, in the North Island of New Zealand.
In 1886, Mount Tarawera in Rotorua erupted, and destroyed the surrounding area. The eruption opened the earth along a 17km line, splitting Mount Tarawera in two, exploding Lake Rotomahana to 20 times its original size, and forming the seven craters that today make up the Waimangu Volcanic Valley.
Today you can walk through the craters of Waimangu Volcanic Valley and take the boat cruise on crater Lake Rotomahana to view the amazing geothermal activity and very important botany. Internationally significant features include the worlds largest hot water spring, sinter terraces and the unique inter-relationship between two huge hot springs in Inferno Crater and Echo Crater. Several endangered plants exist beside the geothermal activity together with a host of thermally adapted plants. This is one of the newest Eco-systems in the world and is protected today as a Scenic Reserve and wildlife refuge.

Les sites géothermiques sont toujours des endroits magiques, hors du temps, hors du monde. La nouvelle zélande est réellement un des plus beaux endroits de la terre. Dommage que cela soit si long et si cher pour y aller. Cette photo est à la fois étrange, mystérieuse et fabuleuse. L'eau est d'une couleur étonnante.

This is a very striking shot and shows the amazing colours you can get when shooting by volcanoes. The yellow sulphur is great and shows up well in your shot, as well as the dying tree. A good high impact shot.

Hi Nikki - this looks like something out of the scarier neighbourhoods of Middle Earth, amazing coloyurs, the reflections of the twisted branches make an interesting effect on the lavender parts of the lake

elle me fait un peu peur ta photo avec ces couleurs ! ça m'a l'air dangereux comme endroit. En tout cas, le rendu est excellent avec des couleurs très belles. On dirait une photo sortie d'un conte fantastique
