Photographer's Note

Bure is a traditional Fijian thatched house. The picuture was taken on the small island Ovalau, situated west from main Viti Levu. The only town on Ovalau, Levuka, was the first capital of Fiji (1874-82) and a very important Pacific port in the past. In 1789 Lomaiviti Islands Group were visited by the famous ship - Bounty.

That day was very misty and it rained heavily a few times. To say the truth we vere completely wet coming back from the inland, mountain village of Lovoni. I even didn't want to get the camera out of backpack, but finally I said it was worth to take some shots here.
