Photographer's Note
These boats are drifting with the early inward tide near Iron Cove Bridge. Late summer-early autumn is possibly the best time of the year in Sydney, with the muggy heat gone and still clear days such as this a Sunday before Easter.
A note about the bridge:
The Iron Cove Bridge is an impressive steel truss bridge. It consists of four 18m plate girder approach spans and seven 52m steel Pratt truss spans for a total length of 461.26m (1,535ft 10in). Four lanes of traffic are located within the truss spans and the overall width of the roadway is 13.70m between kerbs. The roadway consists of a 127mm reinforced concrete deck slab with an inset for tram tracks in the centre portion.

Like in Sydney, the great pleasant weather is arriving to the SE Queensland. Yesterday was perfect at the beach in the Sunshine Coast.
Beautiful colours and a great reflection in this Sydney shot.

Hi Murray,
This is a beautiful setting; Sydney is blessed with some extraordinary waterways. I like how the ripples distort the reflections of the yacht masts. You are right about the muggy heat decreasing this time of year, it will take a few more weeks until we get the same effect here but we are all looking forward to it. Excellent work, really fine attention to detail and great use of a wide range of colours.

A really beautiful scene, but I especially love the reflections. The colors are very pretty. TFS

Such a peaceful shot! It looks tranquil even if everything is in movement here. Good composition with not so much of the sky but lot of water.

Hello Murray,
No muggy heat is a good thing, perhaps one of the reasons I don't want to live in the tropics again :-) Nice image with excellent sharpness and colours. The water environment is very attractive with the boats and the reflections on the water. It must be nice to live and play in this place. Thanks Murray.

What a pretty shot, Murray! Wonderful shades of blue and I love the yellow boats and red one in contrast. I like the way the bridge goes in at an angle and those beautiful reflections. I am getting ready for the muggy heat to arrive soon here. I get cabin fever in the summer..LOL Thanks, Murray, great job! Hope you have a really nice Easter,
Shelly

Hi Murray. You certainly have the relaxed Sunday feel in this shot. The water has just enough ripple to add a touch of movement to the shot. Nice diagonal line of boats also. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hello Murray,
Nice shot and a very good PoV. I really like the composition with the boats aligned and the bridge at the back, the Note about the brige nicely puts the photo into perspective.
Cheers

Hi Murray,
These boats anchored in the bay are an invitation to enjoy the sea. The reflections in the water are an asset to the composition. The point of view is giving depth to the photo. The light brings out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Murray,
There are just enough ripples in the water to create those classic reflections of masts — an effect I've always enjoyed recreating in my own paintings and etchings. Informative note as usual. Have a good weekend,
and warm regards,
Bulent
