Photographer's Note
Road to Marble Bar, hottest town of Australia. The cummulus may predict lots of rain. There are some floodways on these road. Sometimes the way back can be blocked by ...water, for days or even weeks.

Hello Henk,
Fantastic sky here and a wonderful never ending perspective of the road emphasised by the red strips either side. Great picture.

Hi Henk,
The skies here are amazing! The contrast is well managed and colors are well saturated and nice.
I would prefer a more symmetric crop for the road - will do a workshop to show what I mean.
Also - there are some dark edges, probably created while fixing a tilt...
Did you use a polarizer?

Hi Henk,
This shot has wonderful depth, colour & even though the sky makes up more than three quarters of the picture-(which wouldn't normally look good)-The cloud detail makes it work as they lead your eye to the vanishing point on the horizon.....WONDERFUL!.
Great work & i hope you got a cold lager in Marble bar!
Regards & respects, David Cortez.

Very nice sky. It was a good choice to include road in the middle.
I agree with Shir critique - some crop from the right to make the photo absolutely symmetric would be good.

Hoi Henk,
Erg mooie kleuren en lucht in deze fraaie foto. De weg in het midden is hier een goede keuze. Ik ben het wel eens met de opmerkingen van Shir over de zwarte hoeken en de symmetrie.

This is a magic sky. The cloud looks so low and almost touchable. The colours are beautiful and the POV excellent. I guess you used a polarizer to get that dark blue. Well done.

Hi Henk, I would do two things with this photo, 1st use the spot healing brush to get rid of the dust spot on the upper right cloud, then I would crop to complete the work you started with the straightening of the horizon. Otherwise I think its great. You have to love these strong colours and contrasts between the sky, clouds, road and shoulder.
Thanks, John

Dag Henk,

Nice picture. Somewhat it could seem fantastic or 'arranged' because of the colors' so overwhelming intense. It's in any case a good reminder of what Australia is known for, beautiful landscapes with the deserts, big amounts of red sand, playing a central role

The sky looks great & the road stretching away into the distance adds a lot of depth to the image. But if definitely needs to be cropped to get rid of the black spaces where the image has been rotated (the WS version is very good).

Hi Henk.
This sky is what the outback is famous for. You've captured a great scene with great perspective. The coloursn are true to the outback and good contrast too. One small problem, you didn't crop the image after you rotated it. But the shot is great anyway. Well done.
Regards, Steve.

Hi Henk,
What can i say about this amazing landscape.Fabulous colors (sky-clouds)but the magnificent difference is the red-off road piece.
Nice lightness and sharpening.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Henk - I like this a lot the sky is memorizing. I would have cropped out the black borders you created when leveling the image before I posted. Your camera says 7:47am and given it is the middle of summer and pretty bright that time of day I assume you used a polarizer which is how you got the sky so clear.
I did spot a dust spot in the one of clouds that needs cloning out.If the perspective of the road would have been centered I think this image would be perfect. The image works well too if you crop about 1/4 of the sky out.
Cheers Jamie.

Hello Henk,
Wonderful captured. Amazing panorama, clouds view, colors, never ending perspective and deepness, also so impressive.
Road in the middle is so powerful.
Ws is also so good.
Well done job.

I like the orange margins. The top sky is too dark I think. Slightly uncentered, but it's a strange image nonetheless. Glad you were there.. :)

Dag Henk,
Het lijkt alsof je de wolken bijna kan aanraken. Zij bepalen volledig het landschap (luchtschap ?). Voor mij is dit een fantastisch mooie foto.
Groeten, Paul

Woaw!!! I find this picture very beautiful. The grenn&orange colors are bright and maybe it was not obvious to have these colors in regard of the sky. And the depth is interesting. Very nice picture.
