Photographer's Note
Some of you might remember a photo of mine about a month ago with the local grape vines covered in anti-bird netting. It was very interesting to hear that it does not seem to be a common practice in other countries.
Well it is harvest time. As they peal back the netting, the university students and backpackers get busy. I wonder if this will be a good vintage year ;)

Very nice Chris. I think that the bird net adds an extra touch to the photo. It was a could choise to have so much of it in tehphoto. I find the upper right corner a bit distracting though. I did a WS for you.

First I thought it was snowdrifts, I better get some summer soon...
Your picture is very well made with the humans just setting a scale. Zandras WS is fine too. I think the left area is a bit dark though.

Very nice picture Chris, yes, it seems to be a common practice in Australia to use the net to cover up the grapes, I like how you showed the students and backpacers busy picking all the grapes.

Dear Chris, very nice ! Reminds me how Christo packed in the German Reichstag in Berlin. Good composition, though Ebbe's workshop makes it perfect. Very fine detail in the whites :) Thanks for sharing.

In France to define the color of a wine we speak about her dress. On your photograph the dress is already present before the grape harvest, they are strong these Australian ;-)

Very very good shot, Chris. Excellent pattern. I remeber the other shot, but I like this more, especially thanks to the ripples on the nylon cover. The people gives scale to this image, which is normally good, but it could look like a great abstract without them. Well done.

indeed, as far as a know, peaches, for exemple, are put inside paper bags, one by one, since they´re very small but grapes...
the definition is amazing. nice to see those small amount of color in the catchers´ clothes. it brings some proportion to the image.
