Photographer's Note

It's 9.55 in the morning and just after the longest day of winter. Yet, in the High Country of Victoria, Australia the sun has its day. It is a brilliantly sunny day in the dead of winter and the sun is fighting to "burnoff" the night fog in the valleys below. All goes dark as the fog rises up the wall of the valley on the left except for where the sun is continuing its battle. Soon the fog is all gone and the sun, low in the sky, sets the scene for "brilliant freshness" for the rest of the day.
Cropped a little further to remove highlight in top right corner.
