Between where I live and Canberra there is a large lake (Lake George) that these days, due to climate change, only gets water in it occasionally. It was dry for several years during the drought that ended last year.
This year it has had a good lot of water flowing in as you can see in both photos.
If you'd visited Lake George 100 years ago you would have found water front guest houses and boats taking people for cruises on the lake.
These days the lake is dived into fenced paddocks for grazing sheep when the lake is dry.
Those yellow flowers are wattles (Acacia sp) and at the bottom of the hill are vineyards. Across the other side of the lake in both photos you can see wind generators.
