A couple of weeks ago it came in really dark at dusk and shortly after a storm arrived. The red flowers on the right are on a bottle brush tree (callistemon sp).

Hello Ian,
This is a kind of weather that could make me a bit nervous. How much trouble will the storm cause? Before hell broke loose you had time to take a very dramatic photo. The red flowers provide some brightness in the darkness.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Ian,
The clouds are impressive. The point of view is showing the detials of the clouds and of the trees. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Hi Ian
Good capture of the ominous dark thunderstorm clouds. We had a nasty hailstorm in the outer southern suburbs of Brisbane last October, but nothing much on the northside, just pea sized hail, not tennis ball or cricket ball sized! Tfs! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SB-JbP9zCkM

Hello Ian,
I'm a fan of weather photographs.
We don't always have Beautiful, blue skies and clouds, particularly dark ones add drama.
This is ominous!
I hope you don't mind me saying but, I prefer it without the roof. It is no good doing a w/s as we can all crop photographs and maybe, a little cloning.
Have a lovely w/e,
Bev :-)

Hi Ian,
very dramatic moment with threatening clouds in the sky. So dark, very suitable for a horror move cover.
I can indeed spot the bottle brush tree. I remember I was shocked seeing it first time in California. The "flowers" were so symmetric and perfect that I spent a while thinking whether somebody didn't attach bottle brushes to that bush.
Very well done!
