Photographer's Note
This of course is the Sydney Opera House. No doubt you've seen it photographed from every possible angle. To get this POV, I snuck up the stairs of the very swanky Hyatt Hotel to get the reflections. I was sure they'd shoosh me away, or make me pay some amount of the $1,200 a night it costs to stay in this posh joint.

Hello Lisa,
Really? $1,200 for one night! Outrageous is a mild word. But maybe it was worth the risk for taking a photo showing two Opera houses. I think this is an angle I haven't seen before, and new angles are almost necessary for extremely well known buildings like this. That rule should be applicable for the Taj Mahal, the great pyramids and the Eiffel Tower as well. The colours create a nice atmosphere and the lonely person sitting on a bench contributes well.
Kind regards,
Gert

Ciao Lisa,
J'avais déjà vu cette photo sur facebook ces derniers jours et je me demandais bien combien de temps elle prendrait pour atteindre ces pages. Un point de vue bien différent sur le célèbre opéra.
Amicalement

Hello Lisa, taking a chance as you did, was well worth the effort.
An alternative view of the iconic Opera House that probably won't have been seen on TE before.
I particularly like the limited palette of colour.
Regards Jean.

Hi Lisa,
I tried to remember where this angle could be possible. But didn't come to think it's up the stairs of a hotel. Angle doesn't look that high which reminds me that Opera House is much bigger than what it looks like in pictures.
Lovely light and good reflection.

Dear Lisa,
I think it worth the risk, you have an excellent photo. But it really cost 1200 USD just to walk on that boardwalk? Unbelievable.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Ciao Lisuccia
Complimenti

Hello Lisa,
This POV is fabulous. I love reflections, and this one is flawless. I like how the pier leads us to the iconic Opera House, and that one lone man sitting at the end. The soft colors are beautiful, too.

Hi Lisa
Fascinating reflections and a wonderful double delight that holds the eyes in firmly taken from your adventurous viewpoint. This is indeed a pleasure precisely taken backed by late afternoon golden colours which turns this to an appealing stuff. What opulence! Congrats

Bonjour Lisa
Splendid double portrait of this world-famous opera house of Utzon in Sidney. One of the special landmarks of the city.
You found the perfect conditions of place and time for this exceptional image of it. So it deserves a place with my favourites.
Excellent work
Have a good weekend

Hi again dear Lisa
I almost missed this image!
What a wonderful idea, so well-seen. The colours are so unusual, the dramatic light and menacing clouds add lots of atmosphere. The lonely silhouette is the cherry on the cake.
Have a nice Sunday

Hello Lisa,
I've missed this one.
So Sydney has two Opera Houses :) I haven't seen a picture from this point of view yet.
Very well observed ... or else very well been searching and have found.
The colours are also very special with a light purple overtone.
Excellent depth.
Best regards, Paul

Ciao Lisa,
fantastic shape, so characteristic, so recognizable!
You made a great use of it again. A point of view not seen yet. The sky is fabulous making a great backdrop for the scene.
Of course the reflection doubles the treat.
Very impressive final effect!
