Back in 1991, I flew with Garuda on my first visit to Australia. On those days the range of airliners was shorter than today and airlines also made more stops to gather full cabin of passengers for intercontinental routes. We first flew from Helsinki to Amsterdam via Gothenburg. In Amsterdam we boarded the Boeing 747-200 of Garuda which made stops in Frankfurt, Abu Dhabi and Singapore before reaching Jakarta. There we changed plane and continued to Sydney via Denpasar (Bali) and Melbourne.

The similar photos are not so popular on the TE, but I like this one. Great timing shot, fine details of the plane, I also like these constructions on the background. Clever composition!
