Photographer's Note
Mount Buffalo is a mountain plateau in Victoria some 200 kilometres NE of Melbourne.
It is one of the oldest parks in the Australian Alps, being first established in 1898 when 1165 ha was reserved around Eurobin Falls. In 1908 it was expanded to over 105 km² and the park now covers 310 km² over the plateau and foothills of Mount Buffalo.
The Hump and The Cathedral mountains can be seen in the distance.

Hello Les,
A great capture of this fascinating landscape. That wonderful sky with its streaky clouds makes an excellent lead-line inexorably drawing the viewer into the image. Ideally lit and with superb colours and sharpness. I wish you and Gladys a very pleasant weekend.

Hello Leslie,
Aha, it's a remarkable location and a spectacular shot from a very good angle. The peak framed by stone shapes in the middle, looks great against a vast sky with moving clouds. Wonderful colors and clarity all over.
Tfs a very good presentation.
With regards,
Alekhya

Hello Leslie,
Wow, this is some composition!
I feel as if I have journeyed between the rocks with the Hump as my next a objective! The sky is just amazing! It creates the impression of a volcano, as the clouds resemble steam, emanating from its peak!
A shot to linger over!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

A beautiful landscape Les. I like the way you have used the FG rocks to frame the more distant peak; they encourage us to step into the frame and walk. Even the clouds encourage us to look ahead! Excellent dynamism and lovely details. A very attractive 'up-close' landscape. Warm regards rosemary

Hello Leslie,
I never expected that some stones and beautiful sky it is enough to make extraordinary photo - you just proved me wrong. I guess it all depends on well chosen POV and proper composition but I also like all the pretty and bold colors in here. The tiny white flowers add some softness to the image.
Thanks for sharing and have a nice Sunday!

Hello Leslie,
Beautiful landscape! I like this classic composition very much with the main rock formation centered in the heart of your image. The dynamic sky also compliments the wind swept grasses. TFS.
Best wishes,

Good shot! The sky is fabulous with those clouds and I really like the shapes of the rocks. The little flowers are a very nice foreground. Seems this park is really worth a visit!
