Another classic Aussie pub and a famous one this time.
The Palace Hotel in Broken Hill gained international fame for a starring role in the movie Priscilla Queen of the Desert. It started life (built 1892) as a temperance society owned coffee house before becoming a pub.
The pub owner had the walls and ceilings decorated with Italianate and Aboriginal painted murals.
It reopened last year after being closed for a couple of years and as you can see is still being worked on.
In the left background you can see part of the massive mullock heap the dominates the centre of Broken Hill
