Photographer's Note

This is the Blue Starfish "Linckia Laevigata" from the Ophidiasteridae family. He was saying hello up against the glass of Sydney Aquarium. In the wild, they live in warm salt water near coral reefs and are commonly found in Fiji and other warm parts of the Pacific Ocean. They are omnivores and can be self-regenerating when injured. Like most starfish, they are hermaphrodites.
