Photographer's Note
Please open each photo in a new tab for the better version.rnWe turned north again towards the Flinders Ranges proper and paused at the old town of Quorn. Its time as a tourist stop goes back a long way as the shop in the photo suggests. Most of the building was empty including upstairs (see the old sign for upstairs in the WS) except for one small (closed) bookshop.rnThose people in the distance were enjoying a beer in front of the hotel.

Hello Ian
The beautiful view of this lovely architecture. I crave watching Western movies every time I see photos of this area. Clarity and lighting done well. Good combination with background. Beautiful shot. Thanks for sharing

Marvelous effect of ancient beauty of the "Tourist Emphorium" arcade, Ian.
A "feel" of older era, well rendered.
Good afternoon,

Hello Ian,
It's a bit sad to see so many fine buildings abandoned and neglected, but you used this one well for a nice composition with fine depth. The large sign is a good eye-catcher (I think I first met the word 'emporium' in India long ago) and it's nice to know that beer was still available here.

Gert

Hello Ian,
Such a nice view down the covered sidewalk here. The old architecture is really nice, even though the painted has worn off pretty much. The details on the green ceiling are still wonderfully visible. Well done.

Hi Ian,
The light of the sidewalk is givng a good pewrspective to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the old building. The light is giving good colors output. Have a nice day.

Hi Ian,
Emporium sounds like a big word for a such humble place. So the days as a tourist destination are over. And the place now has certain rough charm. I just wonder how on earth this was ever a tourist destination?

Hello Ian.
Very ingenious composition, using the long arcade, to give a great effect of perspective to the beautiful image.
Very good management of brightness, sharpness and color.
Have a great day.
Greetings.
Luis.

Hi Ian,
Very nice composition. I like how you have captured it here.. The light was magnificent and so are the resulting colors and clarity.
The building has suffered a lot but the more damage the more photogenic. People in the distance allow us to imagine the scale, the depth of the scene.
Excellent capture,
M

Hello Ian,
WE usually see this type of photograph detailing ancient colonnades but this is equally effective, in fact, maybe more so because of its uniqueness! I love the contrasts of materials as well as the aging exterior of the shops! This could be a film setting!!
I wonder, is the price of a snooker game still 6d?
Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

Hello Ian,
The Tourist Emporium needs a little TLC. I like the sense of depth, nice POV. The WS photo is superb, I like minimalism.
