Photographer's Note
This is the second image I have posted on TE of Murphy's Haystacks. I found these rock structures particularly interesting to photograph, mostly for the orange lichen stains providing me colour to juxtapose against the blue sky behind. In this image I have increased saturation to enhance this colour relationship. In this dry environment it is nice to see the colour contrast that otherwise would be somewhat washed out in the bright sunlight. It is important to remember that even in the desert there is colour to be captured.

Indeed, the colour contrast is excellent. The same for the POV and the tight composition. Well done mate.
From your nice galley I assume that you live in SA, may be in Adelaide. Correct? I live in Redcliffe QLD.

Hi Mark
When I was looking at an itinerary for a client doing a tour from Perth to Adelaide, I was curious about what these haystacks look like as I haven't really seen images of them before. They really are interesting and I like how they contrast against the turquoise sky.
Regards
Nikki
