Photographer's Note
It was a early start near our beachfront apartments at Trinity Beach, just north of Cairns. It was my far the most spectactular sunrise I've seen - there was thunderstorms brewing just off the coastline, but the most gorgeous colours in the cloud-swept skies. The white-balance was set to cloudy mode, but all another settings was left at auto. A monopod was used in conjunctions with some tight ropes to keep the camera steady for this exposure.
