Photographer's Note

...and that means you.

I you're reading this, then you have a case to answer. It is because of this site that I am about to spend my hard earned dineros on a new DSLR.

I discovered this site quite a while ago, but only recently posted photos, and due to the comments I received and ideas I got from all the amazing shots, I am desperate to take better photos.

And like all good tradesman, I choose to blame my tools.

This shot is a prime example - I think it's got reasonable composition, but it lacks clarity and that overexposed bit on the left is from a finger smudge - which would definately not happen with a new camera! I just know!! Because it just wouldn't.

Yeah, yeah, to all those people on this site who take incredible shots with cameras made from chewing gum wrappers, bits of bark and a dab of spit...well, good.

But I still am going to buy a new camera.

As for this place, it is the end of Breakfast Creek, just as it joins the Brisbane River. To the right, out of frame is the Breakfast Creek Hotel, sort of my local, known as 'The Brekky Creek', which has some pretty good steak. And to the left is the Breakfast Creek Wharf which contains a great seafood place.

I took the shot with my little Canon with a teeny tiny tripod attached, balanced on the bridge railing - which promptly fell off after the shot was taken.

No harm done.

But I'll need a new camera.
