Hello Chris,
I have a feeling the cloudy sky may have been good for the colours. I like the darkish, blueish tones of the high-rise buildings and the contrasting green dominance of most of the view. But what was the need for a "quick grab shot" when nothing was moving? ;-) Maybe rain was imminent?

This high vantage point allows you a commanding view of the city where contrasts of skyscrapers and garden areas can both be appreciated. You have achieved an excellent, sharp exposure, despite the cloudy weather.

Hi Chris,
It is an excellent high viewpoint. Skyline of Brisbane is well presented on the top third while foreground residential area offers plenty of green space. I got a feeling this is quite nice city.

I remember your previous picture of the skyline of Brisbane seen from the botanical gardens.
Apparently you have a good view of the city skyline in several places together with a very green foreground.
Beautiful composition in different horizontal layers.
Despite the bad weather you mentioned the picture is excellently clear and sharp.

You should be right into the sweaty season up there. It's even been a bit that way down here. A good view across town with the green patches and glimpses of old timber houses.

Hi Chris,
I suppose bad weather is in Australia some sort of attraction since you probably usually have a good weather.
I recently fantasized about a trip to Australia and in particular I noticed those amazing areas towards Cairns and Whitsunday Islands. I suppose Brisbane is half way through the continent so hypothetically you can drive to both Sydney and Cairnes, although it is a bit of a distance so you probably fly there.
