Photographer's Note
I took this photo from the 46th level of a building overlooking Circular Quay and Sydney Harbour. My son works there. They have wrap around views to distract them. This view looks west up the harbour with all its inlets. Ferries and other boats leave their mark on the water.
Do look at the large version.

Hello Ian, Your son is Colin? :). Anyway, he works in a great place, what an opportunity to have such a view every day. Magnificent panorama. Sydney is wonderfully situated between the islands and bay. What phenomenal sharpness. Huge wow.

Hello Ian,
The large version reveals lots of interesting details that weren't immediately so visible. It's maybe not the most beautiful part of the city, but the many islands and the heavy traffic on the water are fascinating. It actually makes me think of Stockholm, which is situated where a large lake meets the Baltic Sea with a huge archipelago. The sharpness is again impressive.
Best regards,
Gert

Bonjour Ian,
C'est le Sydney que l'on connait un petit peu moins. Peut-être plus industriel à cause de l'autoroute mais toujours près de l'eau qui est omniprésente en Australie.
Amicalement

Hi Ian,
This view is gorgeous, especially when opened on full size. Maze of islands on the harbour is charming. And it is nice to see the old buildings of the Rocks. By checking the map and comparing pictures of my photo album I recognized one place I've visited: Lord Nelson Hotel in the middle.

Hi Ian
lots of boat activity out there, and its easy to see why, warm weather, sunshine, may as well right? lots of little islands there, its a different view than what we usually see, so its fun to sit here and really examine it. excellent views here, well taken through the glass, i'm presuming! cheers

Hello Ian
A superb bird's eye view overlooking part of Sydney Harbour. Good sharpness and again surprising how much green parkland is still remaining around the foreshore. Excellent colour and sharpness. Tfs!
