Photographer's Note
I had a short stopover in Sydney, so I didn't get to see much as I did in Brisbane two weeks before. But I know the sea is important for people on the Australian coast. First of all, almost all Aussies live by the coast. Second, I'm sure Australia has one of the highest number of sailboats per capita. This picture was taken while approaching the Kingford Smith Intl. Airport in Sydney. Some day I'll dig deeper into this vast country. Brisbane was surprisingly an incredibly nice city and judging by the airport approach, Sydney seems to offer the same beauty.

Hi Fredrik
This is the Gladesville Bridge across the Parramatta River in upper Sydney Harbour. In many ways Australia is just like Norway. Over 90% of the population live near the sea and most people live in big cities. I'm glad you liked Brisbane. It has a reputation as a bit of a cow town and was a bit backward compared to Melbourne & Sydney until 1972, when things started to change quickly, and even more changes in the 1980's & 90's. But the reputation undeservedly stuck. 20k people left Sydney last year & 1/2 of them moved to Brisbane which gained 10k people. So the word must have gotten out that Brisbane is not that bad after all! Nice aerial view of western Sydney btw, with good sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Fredrik
Wonderful bird's eye view. Well composed in spite of being taken from an airplane which is not an easy task. The tiny yachts and colourful houses look lovely.
Best wishes
Kasia
