Something completely different to my recent postings.
Paja (pajaran) has recently been posting photos of fruit at this time of year in Europe. Here, being spring, it is fruit setting time so I thought I'd post a photo of 2 of my apple trees in blossom. On the left is a Pomme de Neige (snow apple) and on the right is a Granny Smith.
Pomme de Neige is a French/Canadian variety whilst the Granny Smith is an Australian variety.

Hello Ian,
Bright and pleasant photos, especially for us in the northern hemisphere where flowers and leaves are dying at this time of the year. Beautiful colours and very sharp details.
Best regards,

Hello Ian,
An unexpected sight here, but the seasons in Australia are of course the opposite of Europe.
Splendid close up of apple blossoms with the attractive red outer petals.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ian,
You had me fooled here!
I thought this was a bit of time lapse photography, showing the blossom partly closed and then fully open!
Your photography shows excellent use of shallow dof; sharp subject against a useful, blurred b/g.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Ian, excellent macro on these apple flowers. Before opening we can see the petals are pink and they become white afterwards. The southern spring has started. Fine colors, perfect sharpness, regards.

Hello Ian, apple blossom is one of my favourite kinds of blossom. Here we have two delightful pictures of the very pretty flowers.
I didn't realise that the Granny Smith variety originated in Australia.
Do your apple trees bear lots of fruit?
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Ian,
Two excellent close-up photos of the apple blossom. I like the fine pink tones and the depth of field is very good, too.

Hi Ian,
nice photo which indeed well illustrates how the seasons are opposite on different sides of the equator.
I am actually quite surprise to see sometimes in British supermarket apples from New Zealand.
That is a long way for apples. And sometimes it is not even the season, sometimes the season is here. It must be quite messed up to bring apples from the other side of the world where they can be easier sourced from Poland.
Beautiful photos with the pink touch nicely decorating the white flowers.

Hello Ian.
A double photo of these beautiful apple blossoms, I congratulate you on the luck that the moderators have respected your flowers, I have removed them on the three or four occasions that I have uploaded them, I do not understand their criteria.
A magnificent color, which gives the image a lot of chromatic richness.
Well done. I like it.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Ian,
It's nice to see here through these beautiful pictures of apple blossom that spring has arrived in Australia.
Just when I picked the apples from our apple tree in the garden. This year a lean year so probably next year we will have a rich harvest.
Well done
Have a nice day, groet Rob
