Photographer's Note

The Kiama Blow Hole. What you can see is sea water gushing up as it hits the hole at the bottom of the rocks. There is a tunnel at cliff and it ends with a hole about 3m diameter roughly facing upwords. When the waves gush in with a rush it hits the end of the tunnel and thus water is thrown up through the hole.

This picture shows only a fraction of what it is like to witness it in real. Many waves comes and goes but every now and then in about 15 minutes there comes a good wave that sort of makes shoots water up. It starts with the sound that is similar the sound that we can hear just before a thunder, like a short circuit. Then a loud bang and the explosion of water. Its worth waiting for hours just to catch that perfect blow. Another wonder of nature worthy of experiencing.
