Photographer's Note
"I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library."
- Jorge Luis Borges (1899 - 1986)
--------------
Going up the escalator in Downtown Seattle Central Library.
The library is a very interesting piece of architecture, with every floor a different color, red and yellow very prevalent.
The Seattle Central Library opened in 2004 and was designed by Rem Koolhaas of OMA in a joint venture with LMN Architects. In 2007, the building was voted #108 on the American Institute of Architects' (AIA) list of Americans' 150 favorite structures in the U.S. The building received a 2005 national AIA Honor Award for Architecture.

Very Graphical. Hunky-dory perspective. Striking color. And a funny quote of Jorge Luis Borges. Well done!

Hi Aysegui,
Amazing lighting on this escalator. I simply love the colour.
To be very honest with you, I am not entirely convinced of the composition. However, I cannot quite put a finger on what it is.

Maria

Hello Aysegul
The green fluorescent color is very attractive to the eye and was a good idea to frame the escalator in between those colored walls. Clever addition of the man adding some animation and a nice perspective too.
Cheers

A very good perspective on this ladder of the library, the yellow color makes it different from other escalators that we are every day at Subway or the sipermercados.
Best regards.

en sevdiğim konu... merdivenler... hele bir de bu limonata tadındaki konseptle çok şık bir kompozison yakalamışsınız... belki konu mankeni farklı olabilirdi:)...

Woow Aysegul, what a spectacular shot with all these electric green. It is very well framed in a perfectly chosen vertical format. The technical features are excellent and is nice that even a person is included, adding life to the picture.
