Photographer's Note
Caught an early sunrise on the south rim of the Grand Canyon near the beginning of the Bright Angel trail. It's where the mule rides begin. Early sunrise, Nikon D50, Tripod, Moose Warming Polarizer, Tripod. Tell me what you think.

Hi John,
Over 50 views and not a single comment??? I can't believe this!
It's an amazing shot - I just love the warm colours, and the POV is really different from most Grand Canyon shots you see here on TE.
Thanks for sharing!
Best wishes
Claudia

Hello,
a very nice view, the colours and light were just perfect and that shows in the result. However, maybe, what (at least in my opinion) is somewhat missing is the scale in deepness of the canyon. One doesn't get that impression out of the photo. Who knows, maybe with just a bit another point of view (or vertical) that might be achieved... or maybe not. But anyway, a great work.
Best regards, Kristof

Hello John,
You were there at the right place at the right moment and you succeeded to take this shot with the sunrise lightning isolating a piece of roch and putting it in evidence.
The shape, the texture and the colors are nice. I appreciate also that the area in the shadows still have details visible. The right exposure setting is not always an easy work in this situation.
Yves.
