Elephant Seals, San Simeon, CA
Elephant seals spotted in San Simeon, CA just off the Pacific Coast Highway. These seals can grow to be 5000 lbs and live between 14 and 20 years old. The total population of these seals is approximated at 14,000 (up from just a few dozen in 1990 and once thought to be nearly extinct).

That seems crazy for this part of the earth were seals are so afraid of humans...

Grand amoureux des animaux que je suis, surtotu ceux qui sont fragiles et vulnérables, je ne pouvais pas manquer de faire un détour par cette photo.
Une vue bien calme Amber, ils sont en train de se dorlotter au soleil, insouciants, pourvu qu'o,n les laisse en paix.
