Photographer's Note
This was the beautiful sight I got at the end of a nice hike. In fact the beauty of the hike is there are 2 designated trails and still most of the people prefer to walk up to this Waterfall through the river. Its a very pleasant hike in the river, you can walk all the way to the bottom of the falls.
The specialty of this water falls in the Finger lakes region of New York is its height, it 33ft taller than the famous Niagara Falls also in NY.

Sreehari,
This is a gorgeous shot. I've seen this waterfall ice encrusted & with barely a trickle flowing over the ledge. If you like hikes and photographing waterfalls, pick up a copy of "200 Waterfalls in Central & Western New York - A Finders Guide." It will lead you to many great photography locations. www.footprintpress.com

Hello Sreehari,
Nice to meet you,
seems you had a difficult situation in point of light which was strong and made overexpose in some parts of the shot, also you used the flash that I'm not sure if the flash can help you for dark background with this far distance.
but totally the shot show us a special view and I'm Thankful for your sharing.
Best Regards

Bonjour Sheehari,
Un très bel endroit bien cadré,mais je ne pense pas qu'ici le flash t'apporte une aide pour débouché la partie centrale,j'aurais ajouté un peu de contraste et de saturation,je poste un ws.
A+

Greetings Sreehari. This is a great shot for showing the size of this geographic feature, with the people looking rather small on that little bridge. The water in the foreground is a bit over-exposed, but that would have been difficult because of the contrast. A very good composition of this lovely place.

Andrew

Ahhh, the New York we never see! What a beautiful set of Falls!
I agree with the others about the overexposed areas. In some software programs (like PS Elements), there is a control called "darken highlights." I did a workshop - hope you don't mind, Sreehari.
Oh, great job making sure your waterfall was vertical! :)

Hi Sreehari,
Beautiful and awesome space ... thanks for sharing it .. love the scale of the bridge .. your image is well composed from a great point of view .. the time of day and light was tough on you .. this would be a great candidate for HDR or layering a couple of different exposures.
take care,
John
