Photographer's Note
view from the top of Mount Monadnock, New Hampshire. 3,165-ft (965m) Mt. Monadnock is said to be the second most frequently climbed mountain in the world, after Mt Fuji. "Monadnock" originally comes from Abnacki Native American word for mountain that stands alone, but now is a standard geological term for any singular mountain that rises above the surrounding plain.
it was the first time I had climbed a mountain and truly felt on top of the world ;)

Hi Kristine, good one, with along long view on the Maine region, with good quality and beautiful colours.
the POV was excellent, but i think that it too focused on the rocks on the foreground with the beautiful landscape too blurred in the background.
thanks, ciao

hi Kristine...you really have captured a nice effect with this one. The detail in the foreground combined with the sort of ethereal sky makes for a truly multidimentional image.
best regards

hello Kristine
nice textures of the rocks, i disagree with Paolo, the focus on the rock is a good idea, good POV and framing, there's an important depth in this photo, really good effect, nice composition, well done

Bonsoir Kristine,
Une très jolie photo, le panorama depuis le haut de ce sommet est magnifique.
L'angle de vue est bien choisi.

I love your photo and it is fantastic in itself but your frame really caught my attention. How did you do that?

I like this capture, Avene. Somehow, you managed to show the windy and chilly mountain-top (at least I remember it that way) in a very warm and tender light. My compliments!

Hi Kristine,
Lovely mountaintop shot with a beautiful pale blue sky backdrop seen above the tiny lakes of the valley. The rocky foreground is seen in vary sharp relief to the mini stone henge displays.
You must try some mountain trails in the Adirondack Park. There are 48 peaks over 4,000 feet.
Regards, Tom

Very nice view. I like the piles of rocks who are a sort of natural flag that humans put on top of those mountains to say: I was here.
