Photographer's Note
I saw this photo and it made me go and find my own version of "sky over city". I quite like the feeling of huge sky and deceptively delicate and fragile city.
the photo was taken in early afternoon from the Brooklyn Bridge, one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. you can see the Manhattan Bridge on the right and the the Empire State Building, once again the tallest building in New York, in the distance.

Hi Kristine,
The sky is indeed amazing with varying tones of blue.
I like the elegant Manhattan bridge to the right and wish the city is a bit closer so that we can see more details.
I would perhaps crop more of the bridge in the foreground, but I guess that would disbalance composition you have chosen.

Hi Kristine, beautiful view, with high quality and perfect exposure. The sky was well captured, aso with a beautiful background with the skyline of NY, but i think that the bridge strcutre in the foreground is a little bit...out of subject...
anyway good picture.
thanks, ciao

Hi Kristine
Superb skyline shot and such clear weather making the bridges and buildings stand out so well. That sky is tremendous and the blue contrasts very nicely.

Hi Kristine,
I was having a look to see who it was who found my note interesting but not my photograph (nothing wrong with that!), and you've got some good work in your gallery.
New York is one of my favourite cities, and having been there recently I was drawn to this one. There's a lot to enjoy here; it's a great viewpoint over the city and you've taken it in good light. I do think it would have worked better if you had cut down the area devoted to the Brooklyn Bridge girders in the foreground. You say the sky was your main subject here, so I think you could safely have framed the shot higher to show more of it.
I like how the girder in the bottom left corner points towards the tower of the Manhattan Bridge, but the Empire State building looks a bit lost and insignificant, so I think using a slightly longer focal length would maybe have worked better, revealing more details of the city in general.
Despite all these little niggles, I do like this shot, and most importantly you've captured something of the dramatic atmosphere of the city.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Kristine,
The clouds on this picture are just beautiful, you did a good job with them. The city in the background also looks nice.
I have a picture of NY taken almost from the same spot on the Brooklyn Bridge

Very nice architectural shot of the NYC bridges and skyline. I think the shot would have been more interesting with the skyline more in focus. Of course that would have required a higher F stop and probably a tripod. Maybe you didn't have one, but nice shot regardless.

Hi Kristine,
What a stunningly beautiful high pressure system puffy clouds against the vivid blue background. Cler POV across all the bridges that connect the islands that make of Gotham.
Very clear crisp colors with wonderfully sharp details to this fine urban landscape.

Hello Kristine. greetings and regards from. thanks for visiting my post of hyacinth.
As for this shot it is stunning with beautiful puffy clouds and great blue sky. The great sharpness and clarity from foreground to the back is excellent.
With the clean and neat cropping as well as no human interference makes this photo a very brilliant one.
