Upon viewing this image I could not help think of the Marx Brother's 1933 comedy hit "Duck Soup"
The Marx Brothers are at their sidesplitting best in this raucous political satire, which teems with razor-sharp humor. Thanks to the patronage of well-heeled widow Mrs. Teasdale (Margaret Dumont), Rufus T. Firefly (Groucho) becomes dictator of the tiny country of Freedonia. When the ambassador of the bordering nation of Sylvania declares his love for Mrs. Teasdale, Firefly declares war. Chico, Harpo and Zeppo costar as spies and counterspies.

Hi Tom
I rented once a Marx Brothers vhs tape and I remenber that Groucho was the funniest of them all with his brushy eyebrows, round glasses and a cigar!
Unfortunately, Harpo and Zeppo were off-stage for this romantic and colourful take in wich silhouetted stakes and harbour add depth.

Hello Tom,
Spectacular shot, fabulous clors and silhouettes and an excellent note to boot. The definition (sharpness) could be improved somewhat, perhaps even in Photoshop, but the plusses far outnumber that one minus. I remember the Marx Brotherss film (not the title), but the plot.

Beautiful tone .. thoughtful silhouettes .. I might clone tool out the interference at the bottom .. definitely worth your while to do so. .. btw I have been meaning to mention .. I am not much for much of the framing I see on TE .. but I really like this one you have been using. Really wonderful image.

Hello Tom! Very well done, the great twilight colors and many interesting silhouetted shapes give us much to appreciate. This is just about perfect but I would maybe consider cropping off the faint,blurry shadow of a branch at the bottom of the frame. I think this would move the duck lower down in the frame too making them look less centered. Well done!

The black poles gives a very nice contrast against the wonderful pink colours about the totally picture, the two ducks are the real eye catchers. TFS.

Tom, I never heard about this comedy, but your short sketch is very promising. The shot itself is very good and what I like most is that you got some nice foreground elements to give an additional punch to the almost overwhelming colors of the sunrise (sunset?).

Exemplary shot of early morning (?) light on the water combined with the silhouette technique. Groucho et al were first rate in that classic movie!

Hello Tom,
This is a beautiful and stunning photo. The red sky is fabulous, as is the composition and the patterns on the water. Ducks always make me laugh also. I guess that Margaret Dumont was as clueless in real life as the character she played. The Marx brothers always threw jokes her way and she was always obtuse about their deviltry when they were filming their comic masterpieces. I love opera and "Night at the Opera" was my slapstick, satrical favorite. Beautiful photo!
