Photographer's Note
Life imitating art: 3
At the Chicago Art institute I waited around for a couple standing in the right way to look at this famous painting.
I liked the repeation of the male and female figures. It seems like a reflection for me.

Good eye! The picture lacks a bit of contrast and you cropped the girls foot, but the result is amazing

Hello Brady, very interesting capture. Both couples seem to have the same interest on the other.

Hi Brady,
Well seem, very interesting indeed. Perfect timing. The real couple seemed intrigued by the couple in the picture. Original and nice.

Good pre-visualisation here Brady, I think it worked out very well.
It seems a bit like the young couple are looking into their own future. Or something.
As has already been mentioned, it would have been better if you had left a bit of space between their feet and the bottom edge of the frame, but this minor detail aside, I like this a lot.
Nicely done.
Cheers,
Ben

It is always good to see a photo which composition have been thought prior to take it. Good on you.
The photo itself has nice colours and good composition. Pity the framing is a bit tight, particularly on bottom.

I really enjoy this theme you are exploring. This is an other picture you can't critique. The only thing I would like to say though... I hope they are not as unhappy as the caracters in the painting!
Thanks,
Seb...

Agree with gmg--the crop is a bit off, or maybe you missed it in the setup. Then again, sometimes you take what you can get. Good catch--I enjoyed it.

Well spotted here Brady, a good angle and also like the way that the woman and the man are almost the same height ratio in comparison to the image.
You seem to like hanging around art gallerys eh? :)

Never for a second did my eyes go to her feet, until I read the critique, then my thought was "so what?". Absolutely doesnt make a single % of difference to me, the feet are irrelevent, the whole weight of the photo is at the top, at the relationship of the two couples.

Nice shot, good title, I would have called it 'Us in 30 years'. Nice composition. Well captured.
