Photographer's Note

Another picture taken at Glacier National Park. This is Lake McDonald, the largest lake in the park. The lake is 10 miles long and over a mile wide. It can be accessed from the Going to the Sun Road on the Western side of the park near Apgar. This picture was taken near the Lake McDonald Lodge. Most of the water from the lake comes from the upper Lake McDonald creek, formed from snowmelt, making the water quite cold, even in the summer.

Other pictures from this trip can be seen in my theme here.
