Photographer's Note
At the bottom of the photo you can see metal support rails leading into the Antelope Canyon. They were installed after 11 people drawned in a rapid rain water in 1997. The Antelope Canyon is a wash...and all the formations were sculpted by dashing rain water. When I look at these wonderful shapes I cannot stop thinking of the water forcefully bouncing from one side to another...I have to admit that going down to the lower AC is always a little scary experience...after all, the accident mentioned above accured with no sign of the rain in the Page area...the storm was miles away...

What an amazing perspective of the canyon. Other photos of AC never place the walls into scale. With the rails placed near the bottom, it shows how grand the place really is. It looks as if someone carved each line. Great job!

Beautiful color of the rock. Very interesting perspective shooting up with the stairs at the bottom. They give an idea of the difficult conditions to get down to the bottom of the canyon. Your pictures are attractive to me because they usually show something unusual such this place. Good use of light and details are easily spotted in the compo. Nice work Danuta :-)

Well Danuta I have to commend you on your excellent control of exposure here. I have seen quite a few photos from this place on photo sites, but nothing like this. At first the stairs seem to distract from the photo but in proper perspective they add scale to this place. Wonderfully done..thanks for sharing!

Cześć Danka!
Co to natura potrafi wyczarować... Piękna forma skalna o niesamowitej kolorystyce. Dobry kadr i kompozycja. Jest na czym oko zatrzymać.
Pozdrawiam

Witaj Danusiu,
Pozdrawiam,
Jurek

Hola Danuta.
Great shot of this amazing and impressive rocks, looks like stirring waves of different colors. Love the way you captured the shadows and lights. Through the stair we are able to scale the size. Good work.
Thank you for sharing.
Cheers.

Yes, I remember the story about the sudden flooding of the canyon. The railing is an interesting legacy to those who perished. Very scary indeed.
However, I don't think I could ever tire of your astonishing views of AC and the 3D effect of the light on the rocks.
