Photographer's Note
Light in the redwoods, along Pudding Creek, a tributary of the Noyo River- which in turn is along the Skunk Train tracks. Standing on the edge of a bank, I turned and looked up the hill. From an angle, I saw light coming through the trees. I leaned against one of the larger redwoods, and caught this image of one in the foreground, the hill rising up to the burned out stump, which is surrounded by smaller "suckers," which is how redwoods mainly propagate. Behind that to the left are a couple of smaller burned out stumps, also surrounded by clusters of younger trees.
