Photographer's Note

Pershing Square, in the middle of downtown Los Angeles, is a world of geometry and color. Angular purple or yellow walls, angular openings in those walls, cylindrical pink pillars and spheres like these make up the "landscape." This section of the park is called the "Orange Grove," as the terra-cotta color of the spheres makes them reminiscent of oranges. Here I have chosen to emphasize the geometry by excluding the color, which would distract from the pure geometry. For those who have to see the color version, I will include it as a workshop
