Photographer's Note
It is nice to be back home and be with TE and TL again. I took a short driving trip with my wife to Long Beach, California, then to Las Vegas, Nevada and to the Grand Canyon, Arizona.
This will be the start of my Grand Canyon Series. I took a lot of pictures in this beautiful place and will probably post about 24 pictures from my 3 day stay.
These pictures that I will be posting is to show the rocky splendor of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park. It is 277 river miles long, an average of 10 miles wide and and nearly one mile deep, the Grand Canyon is widely proclaimed as one of the wonders of the natural world. It was established as a forest preserve in 1893 and later set aside as a natural monument. I recommend that everybody visit this awe inspiring site. I was here 12 years ago and I am back again to appreciate it's beauty. This picture was taken from Mather Point looking at Yavapai point on the left. My notes were based on www.americanparknetwork.com
PP Work: Adjust levels control; Increase saturation; Sharpen; Remove noise; Crop; Reduce size for posting. I used RAW format for all photos I took of the Grand Canyon.

Marvelous picture Andre. It certainly exposes the depth and the closes rock capture to the left of the picture is good idea. There is no such picutre in TE yet that I liked much. This is wonderful

Hi Andre,
Very nice compo of this amazing place. The landscape is really gorgeous and the people in foreground point of view, on the left works very well to give dephness to the picture. Nice dramatic sky as well. Well done!
I'm curious about your next posts of this place.

Hi Andre
the lighting is not that impressive for this shot ... but your viewpoint is very good
very good details in this photo ... I like the way we can see the canyon all through its meandering way and also good thinking to include the tourists on the top left corner of the escarpment
well done ... tfs ... cheers .... sarju

Welcome back, Andre. A beautiful deep view of Grand Canyon in this new photo of yours, where the strong light was very well managed to render the textural details of the colorful layers that are found in these unique formations. An excellent sense of depth, also supported by the play of light and shadows. This is an area of the U.S. that I have yet to see and I hope that some day I will.

Hi Andre,
What a fabulous capture you have made here! The lighting, colours, and clarity here are superb. The shadow effect in the left foreground is also most enhancing. One really gains a sense of height and depth with this POV. Very fine work, Andre. This photo is a keeper.

Nice Canyon landscape!! Very sharp and well composed, there is the valley and the big rock in the foreground.
I looked at my pics of this same place, and I dfound one just similar but without the rock and not sharp at all. I remember that it was a little misty that day, what a pity!
