Photographer's Note

I have to share my excitement.

My interest in photography has been growing. Along the way, I have found myself enrolled in a black and white photography class shooting film (a break from my little digital camera). Now, I am using my dad’s 1955 4x5 Linhof Technika III. It isn’t the top of the line Linhof, but after several months of enlarging 35mm negatives it is full on awesome (for those of you that don’t know, the Linhof produces a negative that is 4 x 5 inches).

This is a scan of a shot I developed in my class. I am amazed at how sharp it came out. I recognize that this might not be the best shot ever, but you have to understand that I am really excited about these humongous negatives.

The car was at a hotrod show in Lakewood. Take a look at that blower, it reminds me of Mad Max.
