AS we were strolling the promenade on Lake Mirror, Lakeland, saw this beautiful three Pelicans (One more on the WS).
I remained speechless...
Lake Mirror on the map is at 28.044, -81.951.
RAW, F8.0, 1/320, ISO100, Cropped all sides.

Fantastic bird, and they are so nicely lined up side by side. From your position they were well placed on diagonals and you managed a perfect exposure of their white plumage in the dark water.

Hi Ike,
I really like pelicans -they are a bit like penguins in the sense that they appear very clumsy but are so good in fishing.
Here you have a great portrait of three of them. You caught three birds with one shot :)

Hello Ike,
On Lake Mirror I would expect to see six pelicans in this photo instead of three :)
I already understand. There are so many aquatic plants that the lake is difficult to reflect.
Interesting to see the differences in the three beaks of the birds.
Nicely photographed in a diagonal line.

A great photo of this group of pelicans passing by swimming through the dense grass in the water and while probably finding a lot to eat underway. The birds stand out really well against the darker backdrop.

gotta love Pelicans. its amazing how long there necks are yet how large there belly is. not to mention their long beak.

Hi Ike,
I used to think that pelicans live in Florida, but we have met them in Illinois for several years. Dozens of them can be seen beneath the dams where they hope to catch fish.
Good nature photo in diagonal comp those beautiful birds.
