Photographer's Note
Is it some futuristic car speeding to the right or a monster glaring to the left? Our minds seek to place order, something already known onto the random artistry of erosion. The sandstone of northern Arizona is sculpted by the wind, rare rains, and winter freezing.
Taken on my way back from an unsuccessful attempt to reach the top of Horseshoe Bend from the west side of the Colorado River. This is in the Ferry Swale portion of the Glen Canyon Recreation Area.

Hello Mark,
I like your notes as well as your photograph. Features from Nature often evoke images with which we are familiar. I see a huge lizard, sleek but maybe not moving at the speed of a car!
You have captured excellent textural details which give it these strong lines, emphasised by the cloud lines in the sky.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
