Photographer's Note

A few years ago, this skinny, tall guy appeared on Park Avenue for a few weeks. Now he’s back in NYC in Rockefeller Center. :-)

This sculpture is called "Looking Up", by American artist Tom Friedman. Friedman's works are usually made using common, everyday items. This piece is made of stainless steel, and covered in crushed metal objects, such as pie tins and aluminum foil.

Even though this skinny giant stands 10 feet tall, (more than 3 meters), he still seems to be straining his neck to look up at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. This building is the centerpiece of Rockefeller Center. Built in 1933 in the Art Deco style, it has 70 floors. The observation deck Top of the Rock is located here, as well as television studios for the NBC network.

In the WS is a view in the opposite direction.
