Photographer's Note

From the southern section of Central Park there’s a lovely view of the iconic Plaza Hotel. Built in 1907 in the French Renaissance style, this 20 story beauty is both a national and city landmark. It’s been featured in many movies, and there’s also a well-known series of children's books, "Eloise", about a young girl who lives at the Plaza Hotel.

The Plaza is now part hotel, and part condominiums, and the lobby level has some very impressive rooms. The Palm Court serves afternoon tea under a gorgeous stained glass ceiling, and the Champagne Bar has views of the southern entrance to the park.

I was standing in Central Park, at a location that’s below street level, looking up at the Plaza in the midday sun. Some fall colors surrounded the hotel, but many of the larger trees are still green.

In the WS is another view from inside the park.
