Photographer's Note
Another season has started with the shedding of the leaves. The leaves make one last stand before their demise. They make their exit in brilliant color for all to see. I am not sure of reason scientifically. But the message is the same around the world. A new season has begun and must be completed before the infants in green show up in the spring. I just have to travel north from Florida to witness this. I Used my new 18-400 Tamron at 400mm to capture this leaf.

Hi Jimmy,
Short focus area gives full attention to the tiniest details of that leaf tip. Excellent use of the long end of the zoom. Red and green pattern looks very nice. and mainly red blurred background is lovely.

Wonderful view of fall colors. Love the simplicity with a single leaf fully exposed reflecting the detail of how sugars affect the lines and spaces in decomposition. Great view - Thanks drt100 David

This leaf has extremely many different colours.
Where I live, I usually only find yellow-brown leaves in the fall. :)
Autumn isn't my favourite season but I do like the pictures with the colourful foliage very much.
Very good, clear and sharp capture of the leaf with a nice blurred background.

Hello Jimmy, in the thumbnail I got the impression that the leaf was floating on water!
It is a beautifully presented shot, excellent sharp focusing on the leaf with a lovely bokeh.
