Photographer's Note
A photo of another island in Frederick Sound taken whilst we were exploring islands in a skiff and looking for sea otters (plenty seen but not close enough for decent photos) and bald eagles (a few of them seen too) - see the workshop for one getting harassed.

So many trees on such a tiny island. They really seem to be fighting for space. It's amazing there is enough soil to keep them alive. Nice photo and fine reflections.

Hello Ian,
Otters are usually quite shy, in the wild, though excellent programmes have been made of their exploits off the coast of Scotland.
This looks like an excellent place to be out searching for wild life.
The island is full of trees, lots of scope.
The slight waves, possibly made by your boat, create a natural movement from the f/g reflections to the horizon. It's a well composed photograph.

En regardant cette composition on a vraiment l'impression que les racines de ces conifères ont les pieds dans l'eau, probablement à cause des très beaux reflets.
