Hi John,
I have a lot of sentiment for this view. I spent 2.5 years in LA and for a while I could not afford a car so with excellent public transportation Santa Monica was the easiest beach for me to reach. At that time it became boring but when I revisited Santa Monica several years later I had tears in my eyes. This is a lovely park and you have also beautifully included the famous silhouette of the Santa Monica pier.
I suppose I would prefer the tree to be a bit off centre.
