Photographer's Note
Greetings one and all. :)
Being that we're in the middle of our monsoon season here in the desert, and the fact I had a bit of free time, I thought it would be fun to post a photo from a recent drive around the neighborhood as I watched a storm beginning to form on the horizon.
Despite the oppressive heat and humidity this time of year, it's my favorite because of the dramatic scenes and natural events that take place when Mother Nature decides to "act up."
As always, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer! :)

Hello Jason,
great scenery with the heavy and cloudy sky to enhance even more the drama of the image. The grazing horses on the foreground enhance even more the beauty of the image.

Hi there Ja Crispy!
It's nice to have you back on TE from time to time. :-) Great scene. I also like moody skies, and watching a storm roll in. I like a good storm, as long as I'm not caught walking outside when it arrives! The horses in the foreground are also very nice, and I like that they're each a different color. Giddy up! :-)

Hi Jason
my eyes almost popped out of my head when I realised it was you that posted this photo :)
Great to see you back bud! how've you been? I noticed you haven't posted many shots on Instagram recently.
That heat you talk about doesn't really interest me haha...too hot for my blood, but as you say, the weather conditions which change abruptly can lead to some pretty damn good shots.
love seeing how the trees in the far bg seem to POP against that brooding dark blue skyline. the cloud depth is A+ bud.
did you get caught up in the rain storm?
see you around
cheers
Craig

Hi Jason,
Impressive contrast between this cloudy sky and the warm light on the FG, well captured, well composed with horses, tfs. And now ... in shelters!

Hello Jason,
Nice to see you even for the moment. How are you? This is an amazing picture. Superb composition with the converging lines, nice view of the horses grazing but of course, the light here is the main thing. Impressive picture.
Kind regrad s Malgo

Hello Jason,
I'm glad you had a few minutes to spare as it's good to see you posting again!
WE have seen clouds like that and lots of rain but without the heat! Honestly, so far, August has been a washout!
The light is quite unreal!
It is the unusual light that occurs just before a storm, the dark clouds fighting off the last rays of sunlight.
The contrast of the golden f/g against the inky clouds is superb!
You have a fine sense of perspective and the grazing animals give a good focal point.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Jason,
Cela faisait déjà un petit moment que je n'avais vu une de tes belles photos dans ces pages. C'st la situation idéale pour faire de la belle photo.Même les chevaux ont joué le jeu.
Amicalement

Hello Jason,
I almost forgot this amazing picture which I saw yesterday when it was too late. Those clouds look really ominous, but what a great contrast they make to the warm, intense light on the ground. Lovers of storms (I think there are such persons) must have enjoyed themselves a little while later. The horses are wonderful participants in this photo, and almost as much I like the parallel green, yellow and brown lines going along the length of the field.
Best wishes,
Gert
