Photographer's Note
The skeleton of the Peter Iredale that ran aground in a large squall along the Oregon Coast in October of 1910. The shipwreck is located in the Ft, Stevens State Park a few miles from Hammond, and across the bridge from Astoria. In the area is also located the replica of the fort Lewis and Clark built to withstand the wet storms that inundated the region during the winter of 1804-5 once they ended their quest to find the water route to the Pacific from their beginnings in St. Louis, Missouri on the Mississippi River.

Hi Steven
Stunning color in that sky and what could be a more romantic silhouette foreground than a wrecked ship. wonderful composition that really makes the whole scene very powerful. Very cool photo
Cheers
