Photographer's Note

Maui is quite often voted the most beautiful island in the world. This was one reason I selected it from among Hawaiian Islands. Another reason was the incredible diversity of landscapes. The beaches were without the doubt spectacular but the hike among volcanic craters, after watching sunrise above the clouds at 3000 meters above sea level, was even more exciting. The volcanic landscape was amazingly beautiful and for a whole day hike we did not meet anybody else –everybody stayed at the beach. It felt quite like being on a moon. Another unforgettable adventure was a walk in the rain forest to a spectacular waterfall with fallen off the trees guavas making such incredibly pleasant smell that I felt drunk of it.
This was a sunset at Launiupoko Beach Park.
