Photographer's Note

Mt. Adams, better known to the Native Americans as Pahto is located just beyond the touch of those living in Trout Lake, Washington. Adams rises some 12,000+ feet above the floor, and is an easier but longer climb than Mt. Hood at 11,000+ feet, and in most years one does not need to rope up on the south side climb.
This image was taken at Larch Mountain in Oregon, the highest point in the Columbia River Gorge at 5,000+ feet. From this extinct volcanic crater on can see Mt. Hood, Adams, St. Helens, Ranier, and Mt Jefferson.
A beautiful view indeed...
